  1. Good call. The Greeks had a “Christ” figure that fitted that bill, as did the Celts. Which is not to say that a Jesus himself didn’t exist as a flesh and blood person. But it’s important to recognize the reoccurring pattern of messianic archetype that stretches all the way back to the stone age, that people like Jesus fulfilled. Jesus was not the originator of the Christ archetype, but one of many inheritors of a cyclicly reoccurring theme in the collective human consciousness. It’s also worth noting that the word Christ is derived from the Greek term Christos (crystal) which is believed to be a reference to the achievement of a “crystalline consciousness,” a reference to the changes in the liquid crystal structure of the DNA that occur due to achievement of the enlightened state. In the same way that Buddha was the most popularly recognized figure as having “Buddha nature” and was not the first or only one to have had it to such a degree, Jesus was simply one of the most prominent examples of one who had achieved “Christ (Crystal) Conciousness” down through the ages. Powerful religious institutions have conveniently sought to hide the fact that there have been innumerable Christs down through the ages, to uphold the belief that the Church is the mouthpiece of God, with all the the measure of power and social control that this implies. To acknowledge numerous Christs would be to awaken people to the fact that direct access to Christ Consciousness exists in each and every one of us and can be accessed without the influence of the Church.
