Sound Meditation | Beautiful Awaken/Open Your Third Eye (Goddess Song)

I personally love this music/video. “Goddess Song” (Awaken/Open Your Third Eye/Ajna/Brow Chakra 1 hour Stimulation/Meditation). In its softness, there is subtle yet extreme power. Stimulate the feminine energy, the divine female in you. Primarily for women, but it does work for men as well.

Great visual and audio meditation. See deeper into the world you live in and walk upon. The Third Eye closes over time if not used. Everything from the day-to-day stress of life, pressure from others that do not walk the same path, distractions such as media, developmental stages and the traps and basically data overload from all of the information we are barraged with on a daily basis. Billboards, cars passing us or us passing them, colors, sound, smells, they all are recorded in the vast database we call our brain.

The Third Eye allows us to see deeper into everything and gives us a deeper understanding of what we are seeing. It is a conduit to “the source,” or “the universe.” The ancient being that you are is accessible only through this portal. We lose connection to this ancient self, that is us, as we grow into young children and start mimicking what we see and hear, and over time, the years of our youth and sometimes beyond, we close that eye that allows us to look deep inward, and without even noticing, we begin to only see outwards.

But, there are those of us who seek to see clearly, and have understanding for the self and the world. Opening the third eye once again, and allowing once again the magic and curiosity that once was part of our lives and is vital to us all.

The “third eye,” or pineal gland, is located at the center of our mind, and can be activated by certain frequencies, and that is the foundation of this music/soundscape; that particular frequency. I have studied the effects of different frequencies on our bodies and minds for over thirty years and have found that sound waves of certain frequencies can alter the frequency patterns in our brains. Patterns caused mostly by external stimuli, can shift into “not so healthy” frequencies and cause depression, lethargy, etc.. Opening/stimulating the “third eye” can allow us to see much deeper into the world around us, and give us far more understanding of it. It can enhance empathy, compassion and understanding. With no one else around, relax, dim the lights, and listen to and watch this video (preferably with headphones). Watch it more than once, watch it daily over a period of a week and you will start to see different patterns in the visuals. The patterns are along the same lines as “The Rorschach test” (inkblot test) which is a psychological test in which subjects’ perceptions of inkblots are recorded and then analyzed. You can understand a lot about an individual, or yourself, based on the perception you have of the inkblot imagery. Same with the imagery in this video; what do you see, what images dominate, stand out? This can give you an understanding of your perception of the world you live in. Perception creates attitude, attitude becomes character. Who you are is based firmly in how you perceive the world around you. By opening/stimulating the third eye, you can look deeper into yourself and your world.

(excerpt from Wiki) | The third eye (the inner eye) is a mystical and esoteric concept referring to eye which provides perception beyond ordinary sight. In certain dharmic spiritual traditions such as Hinduism, the third eye refers to the ajna, or brow, chakra. In Theosophy it is related to the pineal gland. The third eye refers to the gate that leads to inner realms and spaces of higher consciousness. In New Age spirituality, the third eye often symbolizes a state of enlightenment or the evocation of mental images having deeply personal spiritual or psychological significance. The third eye is often associated with religious visions, clairvoyance, the ability to observe chakras and auras, precognition, and out-of-body experiences. People who are claimed to have the capacity to utilize their third eyes are sometimes known as seers.

Today’s Meditation …

No photo description available.

“Why do you chase the darkness when the light is available to you? … Wisdom calls you and yet you wish for foolishness … A foolish man … goes on the path of the desire of every passion … it is like a ship that the wind blows from one side to the other, and like a horse that has no rider … before anything else … know yourself.”

– The Teachings of Silvanos, Nag Hammadi Papayri

Meditation | The Pathless Path

Practice in a comfortable position, sitting on a cushion, chair or meditation bench and make sure your spine is straight. Rest your hands in whatever position you like. Once you have found a comfortable position, make an intention to stay in that position for the whole meditation without shifting or moving. The eyes can be open or closed. If they are too open you may become distracted, and if fully closed your meditation may become foggy or dull. So adjust your practice accordingly so that your meditation is vivid and lucid.

2=9 | Skill Development: Astral Travel – Lucid Dreaming

This guided meditation was created to help you lucid dream. Lucid dreaming is the ability to know you’re dreaming while your dreaming. When practicing lucid dreaming it’s important to keep a dream journal. Write in your journal each day upon waking up. This guided meditation was inspired by Stephen Laberge’s M.I.L.D technique.

Tetragrammaton Meditation (30 mins.)

YHVH: the formula Tetragrammaton refers to the four-letter Hebrew name of God, Yeshua, or Yod, He, Vau, He (יהוה). These letters have been attributed to numerous four-part symbols, including the classic elements, cardinal directions, Tarot suits, and so on. The formula is often represented by the Father (Yod) joining with the Mother (He), to produce the Son (Vau) and the Daughter (He-final). Within Yoga it is possible to see this formula as describing the union of the subject and the object to produce the exalted state of mind and the resulting ecstasy.

Within a ceremonial magic framework, the first letter can also be interpreted as the original creative force, or Hadit, who “marries” the eternally fertile, co-equal female force, Nuit, resulting in the twins, Ra-Hoor-Khuit and Hoor-Par-Kraat (both of whom make up the deity Heru-ra-ha, perhaps meaning “Horus and Ra be Praised!”). There are many other uses of this formula within the realm of mysticism.

The Lamentations of Isis

Isiopolis

One of the rituals that will be part of our local (Pacific NW) 2020 Fall Equinox Isia Festival is the “Lamentations of Isis.”

This rite is an adaptation of the lamentations ritual in Isis Magic.

Our festival version is non-gendered and changes have been made to allow for a larger group of participants.

If you think that you’d like to be a part of this rite, please read on so you’ll know how to prepare. For additional reading, here’s a post about Isis and lamentation.

About the Rite: Lamentation has always been a part of the honoring of Isis. We even have some of the actual scripts of the laments for Osiris that were performed in the temples, though all the surviving records date from the later Ptolemaic period. They are evocative and, in some cases, quite heartbreaking. In Imperial Rome, where Isis became enormously popular, the Isis…

Are You there, Isis? It’s me, Isidora.

Isiopolis

In these days of “self-isolating,” are you perhaps feeling a bit disconnected; not only from others, but from Her?

The Lotus Temple. In March…weird.

It’s pretty weird out there right now, folks. For one thing, I’m in Portland Oregon and it’s snowing. In mid-March. Politics? Don’t get me started. Oh, and then there’s the fact that every grocery store in town is out of just about everything because people are preparing to be “self-isolating” at home for a good long while. Of course, it’s not that we shouldn’t be taking this pandemic seriously. We should. And we are.

But all the crazy out there can make us feel a little, well, crazy. Which is not very conducive to experiencing our connection with Isis. It might even make us panic. Is She still there? Was She ever there? Am I “losing my faith”? What’s wrong with me? What’s wrong with Her?

Perfumes for Isis

Isiopolis

At this present moment, our home is filled with flowers. Yes, I know. It’s February. That’s why it’s filled with flowers. And since oriental lilies are some of our favorites, right now, I’m smelling the sweet-dark scent of those wonderful lilies throughout the living room.

And all this leads me to think of the perfumes of ancient Egypt and, of course, the perfumes of Isis particularly. For the Goddesses and Gods of Egypt were always associated with scent. Beautiful scents have always been connected with the Divine, but in Egypt particularly, you knew that a Deity had arrived when you smelled Her or His perfume in the temple air.

Egyptian women making perfume

The Egyptians apparently blended scents appropriate for their Deities; for instance, there is a record of an unguent called “Aroma of Horus.” Surely, there was an “Aroma of Isis,” too, but alas, we have no record of…

The Divine Pymander of Hermes in 17 Chapters, Introduction

JUDICIOUS READER,

This Book may justly challenge the first place for antiquity, from all the Books in the World, being written some hundreds of years before Moses his time, as I shall endeavour to make good. The Original (as far as is known to us) is Arabic, and several Translations thereof have been published, as Greek, Latin, French, Dutch, etc., but never English before. It is pity the Learned Translator [Dr. Everard] had not lived, and received himself, the honour, and thanks due to him from the Englishmen for his good will to, and pains for them, in translating a Book of such infinite worth, out of the Original, into their Mother-tongue.

Concerning the Author of the Book itself, Four things are considerable, viz., His Name, Learning, Country, and Time.

1. The name by which he was commonly styled, is Hermes Trismegistus, i.e., Mercurius ter Maximus, or, The thrice greatest Intelligencer. And well might he be called Hermes, for he was the first Intelligencer in the World (as we read of) that communicated Knowledge to the sons of Men, by Writing, or Engraving. He was called Ter Maximus, for some Reasons, which I shall afterwards mention.

2. His Learning will appear, as by his Works; so by the right understanding the Reason of his Name.

3. For his Country, he was King of Egypt.

4. For his Time, it is not without much Controversy, betwixt those that write of this Divine, ancient Author, what time he lived in. Some say he lived after Moses his time, giving this slender Reason for it, viz., Because he was named Ter Maximus: for being preferred [Franciscus Flussas] (according to the Egyptian Customs) being chief Philosopher, to be chief of the Priesthood: and from thence, to be chief in Government, or King. But if this be all their ground, you must excuse my dissent from then, and that for this reason, Because according to the most learned of his followers [Geber, Paracelsus: Henricus Nollius in Theoria Philosophia Hermeticae, tractatu priimo.], he was called Ter Maximus; for having perfect, and exact Knowledge of all things contained in the World; which things he divided into Three Kingdoms (as he calls them), viz., Mineral, Vegetable, Animal; which Three, he did excel in the right understanding of; also, because he attained to, and transmitted to Posterity (although in an Ænigmatical, and obscure style) the Knowledge of the Quintessence of the whole Universe (which Universe, as I said before, he divided into Three Parts) otherwise called, The great Elixir of the Philosophers; which is the Receptacle of all Celestial and Terrestrial Virtues; which Secret, many ignorantly deny, many have chargeably sought after, yet few, but some, yea, and the Englishmen have happily found [Ripley, Bacon, Norton, etc.]. The Description of this great Treasure, is said to be found engraved upon a Smaragdine Table, in the Valley of Ebron, after the Flood. So that the Reason before alleged to prove this Author to live after Moses, seem invalid: neither doth it any way appear, that he lived in Moses his time, although it be the opinion of some, as of John Functius, who saith in his Chronology, That he lived Twenty-one years before the Law was given by Moses in the Wilderness; But the Reasons that he, and others give, are far weaker than those that I shall give, for his living before Moses his time. My reasons for that are these:

First, Because it is received amongst the Ancients, that he was the first that invented the Art of communicating Knowledge to the World, by Writing or Engraving. Now if so, then in all probability he was before Moses; for it is said of Moses that he was from his childhood [Acts vii.22] skilled in all the Egyptian Learning, which could not well have been without the help of Literature, which we never read of any before that invented by Hermes [Chapter x.].

Secondly, he is said by himself, to be the son of Saturn and by others to be the Scribe of Saturn. Now Saturn according to Historians, lived in the time of Sarug, Abraham’s great Grand-Father [Sanchoniathon]. I shall but take in Suidas his judgment, and so rest satisfied, that he did not live only before, but long before Moses; His words are these, Credo Mercurium Trismegistum sapientem Egyptium floruisse ante Pharaonem [Suidas].
