1=10 | Mystical Details About The Four Worlds

Kabbalists view the Tree of Life as acting through four worlds, which form a hierarchy of their own. Just as from Kether to Malkuth there is a successive movement from the abstract to the manifest, so there is in the Kabbalistic worlds from Atziluth to Assiah. The worlds can be expressed through a single Tree or as a series of Trees, with Malkuth in one world being Kether of the next.  […]

Cross symbolism in the Golden Dawn |  by G.H. Frater S.R.

One of the very first symbols that meets the candidate on a conscious level during his or her admission into the Order of the Golden Dawn (in the Outer) is the Red Cross surmounted over a White Triangle, positioned upon the black double cubical altar. Being blindfolded the candidate places his or her hand upon this highly significant symbol during the obligation of the Neophyte. Some moments later, during the circumambulations and purifications of the candidate, he or she meets this symbol again but now with the Red Cross placed inside the White Triangle as born upon the Banner of the West. In either case this symbolism of the Red Calvary Cross and the White Triangle is emblematic of the Outer Order, or the First Order called the “Golden Dawn”. […]

Addendum to the Cross symbolism in the Golden Dawn: The formulae of L.V.X. in the Neophyte and Adeptus Minor Grades

by GH Frater S.R.

In my previous essay on the cross symbolism in the Golden Dawn my main point were that the principle of the redeemer or saviour (Christ Force) through this cross symbolism as contained in the Neophyte 0°=0° Grade of the Golden Dawn (First Order) foreshadows the same in the Adeptus Minor 5°=6° Grade of the Ordo Rosae Rubeae et Aureae Crucis (Second Order).   […]  Read more:  click here

The Queen Scale Colors on the Tree of Life

Most of us are more familiar with the colors of the rainbow than the light and pigment colors. The rainbow has seven colors (including indigo or blue-violet as a color). In this diagram, being a mixture of blue and violet, indigo is not given a separate circle.

We are also familiar from water colors and transparent inks with mixing all colors from red, yellow and blue. Those are the colors of ink in most home printers. Red and yellow make orange. Yellow and blue make green. Blue and red make violet.

In this system, red, yellow and blue are the primary colors. Mixing them produces the secondary colors orange, green and violet. Mixing the secondary colors does not yield the primary colors but rather the earth colors. Green and violet make olive. Orange and green make citrine. Violet and orange make russet. Mixing the three earth colors yields black (or a brownish black).

This system is visually displayed in the Qabalistic Tree of Life.

Note that the supernals are the three non-colors: white, grey and black.

The next triad consists of the three primary colors, blue, red and yellow.

The next triad colors are generated by mixing the three primary colors. Blue and red mix to form violet. Note that the spheres with these three colors (4,5 and 9) form a big equalateral triangle. Blue and yellow make green. Note that these spheres form a smaller equilateral triangle (4,6 and 7). Red and yellow form orange – also a small equilateral triangle (5, 6 and 8).

Mixing the secondary colors yields the earth colors of sphere 10, Malkuth, the Kingdom. Mixing green and orange yields the citrine color at the top of sphere 10. Mixing green and violet gives the olive color on the right of sphere 10. Mixing orange and violet yields russet as on the left of sphere 10. Mixing all three – green, orange and violet – yields black pictured at the bottom of sphere 10.

This progression from non-colors to primary colors, mixed to form the secondary colors, mixed to form the earth colors, mixed to yield black yields much in meditation and other work upon the Tree of Life.

Kabbalah Concept Part III:   Divinity | Deborah Sexton

Kabbalah is theology in the fullest sense – including ontology, cosmogony and cosmology. It is not speculative philosophy based on human insight nor theories derived from human reasoning. It is a study, as it were, of Divinity and of the relationship between G-d and His Creation, based on the premises of revealed truth.  […]

Kabbalah Concept-Part II:  The Sephiroth | Deborah Sexton

I am presenting the simple concepts so you can understand the secret, and complex ones.

Kabbalah plunges into these secrets and pulls their depths into the open. It provides metaphor, parable, understanding. It shines light and opens our eyes. It inspires and guides us to use this wisdom for healing and growth in everyday life. That is why the experience of learning Kabbalah is one of “Yes! I knew that truth all along! My heart knew, but my mouth was unable to speak it!” The truths of the Kabbalah belong to every sentient being.  […]

Kabbalah Concept-Part 1: Physical Manifestation | Deborah Sexton

Most people have heard something or other about Kabbalah. But it is highly unlikely that what is going around in the general marketplace posing as the Kabbalah is anywhere close to the real thing. What most people have been exposed to is a smorgasbord of pop psychology and self-help that pretends to have some connection to Jewish mysticism, but it rarely, if ever, does.  […]

Contemplations …

“The Father of the universals consists of Light and Life, and from Him, Man was born.”

“You are right! Light and Life is the Divine Mind, and from it Man was born. If then you know that you are yourself of Life and Light, and that you are made of them, you shall return to Life and Light.” Thus did the Shepherd speak.

“But tell me further, Mind of me,” I cried out, “How shall I come to Life again, for God does say ‘the man who had Mind in him, let him learn to know that he himself is deathless.’ Have not all men then Mind?”

“Again you speak well! I, Divine Mind, myself am present with holy men and good, the pure and merciful men who live piously. To such my presence becomes an aid, and straightway they gain Gnosis of all things, and win their Father’s love by their pure lives, and give Him thanks, invoking on Him blessings and entering his Kingdom, intent on Him with ardent love. And before they give the body up unto its proper death, they turn from their bodies with disgust from its sensations, from knowledge of what things they operate. Nay, it is I, the Divine Mind, that will not let the operations that befall the body work to their natural end. For being the gatekeeper, I close up all the entrances, and bar the entrance of the base and evil workings of the senses, cutting off all thoughts of them. But to the Mindless ones, the wicked and depraved, the envious and covetous, and murderous and impious, I keep far aloof, yielding my place to the Avenging Daimon, who sharpening the fire, torments them and adds fire to fire upon them, and rushes on them through their senses, thus rendering them the readier for their transgressions of the law, so that they meet with greater torment. Nor do they ever cease to have desire for their appetites inordinate, insatiably striving in the Darkness.”

On The Dark Night of the Soul – Joseph Campbell

“If we make the Path too easy by straight away explaining every point to the Neophyte, he does not acquire any merit, and, moreover, he would not be able to understand; no matter how many times his Teachers should patiently unravel the Laws by means of words. He who does not know error cannot appreciate Truth. And only the Mind itself can have conception of that which cannot be seen, heard, felt or spoken. But in order to obtain that wise conception there must first be a dwelling and searching in the dark of ignorance and pain: for those are the greatest teachers of all.”  – Joseph Campbell

The Great Arcanum – Secret of Secrets

At the heart of every great mystical and religious tradition persists a secret, universal truth – The Great Arcanum (a great deep secret; mystery).

Throughout history it has been expressly forbidden to reveal the secrets of The Great Arcanum to the public for it was a heresy (person who practiced or had knowledge of Hermetics.

Thus its mysteries have remained a hidden legacy, veiled behind mystical stories and the worlds inheritance of art and literature … For all to admire, some to imitate, but few to understand.

Hidden in the silent faces of Egyptian monuments, under the gaze of the Vedic Gods, between the lines of the old books of Alchemy, and tantalizing us from the mist of the Aztecs and Mayans. The essence of the secret doctrine has always been there.

Throughout the history of humanity, only a select few were initiated into the mysteries of this great universal truth, and those few guided the rest of humanity, and gave them the outwards symbols of that truth as guidance.

For the great Arcanum, the secret of secrets was fiercely protected and offered only to those who have proven there moral purity and trustworthiness. But as humanity entered the dark age, the divine knowledge went underground to survive in isolated areas around the world.

For many centuries the Great Arcanum has been beckoning to humanity, from behind the stories and myths that veil it. The knowledge it delivers is universal, and applies to all true religions and mystical traditions.

Whether it is the serpent of Adam and Eve, from the Judaeo-Christian tradition, the serpent of the Aztec tradition, the serpent climbing the caduceus of the Greek god Hermes, or the serpents of the Hindu or Buddhist traditions, all these symbols contain the same teachings.

Finally, after centuries of darkness and ignorance, the time has come for this hidden doctrine to be revealed.

The Path

“All religions are precious jewels on the golden string of divinity.”  — Samael Aun Weor

The word Religion derives from the Latin root, meaning Union.

Religion: (Latin religare) meaning Union.

Yoga: (Sanskrit Yug) meaning Union

The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root Yug, which also means Union.

On the Microcosm and Macrocosm – Franz Bardon

He who is going to be a magician will recognize that life is dependent on the work of the elements in the various planes and spheres. It is to be seen in great and in small things, in the microcosm as well as in the macrocosm, temporarily and eternally, everywhere there are powers in action. Starting from this point of cognition, you will find that there is no death at all, in the true sense of the word, but everything goes on
living, transmuting and becoming perfect according to primitive laws. Therefore a magician is not afraid of death, for he believes the physical death to be only a transition to a subtler sphere, the astral plane, and from there to the spiritual level, and so on. Consequently he will not believe in heaven nor in hell. The priests of the various religions stick to these fancies solely to keep their kids to the point. Their moralizing serves only to provoke fear of the hell or the purgatory and to promise heaven to morally good people. Average people, as far as they are religiously inclined, are favorably influenced by such a point of view for, from fear of hell, they will try to be good.

– Franz Bardon, excerpted from Initiation into Hermetics

Delving Into The Esoterica – Eliphas Levi

We prefer the word “light” to the word “magnetism,” because it is more traditional in esoteric, occult teachings and expresses in a more complete and perfect manner the nature of the secret agent. There is, in truth, the liquid and drinkable gold of the masters in alchemy; the word “OR” the French word for “gold” comes from the Hebrew “OHR אוֹר” which signifies “light.” The “Ohr” Light and its origin is in the Divine essence, as the 10 Sephirot “The 10 Divine emanations or attributes” that reveal the unknowable G’dhead, to creation and channel the creative life-force to all levels of existence, the 10 attributes of G’d do not represent the Divine essence. As many Kabbalists differentiated between the manifestations of G’ds “forms of “light” and their origin in the Divine essence is the luminary, as like the sun, moon and the stars. as “Ohr” Light stems from the “Ma’ohr מָאוֹר” the Luminary.

*G’d saw that it, ‘the luminaries’ was good …
Bereshit ~ Genesis 1:14:15
And G’d said, “Let there be luminaries in the expanse of the heavens, toseparate between the day and between the night, and they shall be forsigns and for appointed seasons and for days and years, and they shall befor luminaries in the expanse of the heavens to shed light upon the earth
And it was so*.

As to be a luminary is to be a guiding light to others, and throw light upon Darkness and ignorance as only light can drive out darkness, so be that light, be your own luminary, remembering that the creator has sent us luminaries before, Great and Wise men and women showing us, how to walk that honest path, that path of “Tiphereth תפארת” THE PATH of The SUN KEEPERS As only we can decide whether we will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness. Fighting that good fight of internal violence of spirit, and externally for truth justice and liberty, Through the powers of the Most-High, We keep on surfacin’ Through the powers of the Most-High we will keep on keeping on.

What do you wish?” they asked the candidate in every initiation: “To see the light,” should be their answer. The name of illuminati which one ordinarily gives to adepts, has then been generally very badly interpreted by giving to it a mystical sense, as if it signified men whose intelligence believes itself to be lighted by a miraculous day. ‘Illuminati’ means simply, knowers and possessors of the light, either by the knowledge of the great magical agent, or by the rational and ontological notion of the absolute. The universal agent is a force tractable and subordinate to intelligence.”

~ Eliphas Levi

72 Shemhamphoras Angels – The 72 Angels of God

Kabbalistic teaching informs us that there are 72 angels who are inhabitants of ten sephiroth, with twenty-two paths interconnecting them; this is the Tree of Life. These Angels are what is often refer to as the Guardians Angels, or Teaching Angels, who we can invoke, pray or appeal to, and who will carry our messages and pleas to God. Once you have contacted these Angels they will awaken your consciousness to the presence of the divine that already exists in each of us

In the Zohar (155 BC), the Hebrew Book of Splendour, it is said that God sent Archangel Raziel (Ratziel) with a book for Adam. This book was about the holy mysteries of the highest nature, the Holy wisdom of the 72 kinds of knowledge, virtue and power. In the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, these virtues were structured in nine groups of eight Angels, which are ruled over by its own Archangel.

It is aid that this information concerning the rituals of the 72 Angels which originally came to light from a 12th Century manuscript, discovered in Spain. Which indicated that there are 72 Angels which guide humanity. But to date I have not been able to identify this particular manuscript by name. According to this manuscript the Angels sacred task is to imbue us with specific qualities of the Divine to be expressed through our unique human individuation. At the time of your birth three angels are allocated to each of us. Each angel has a sacred Hebrew name expressed in the context of sound syllables which accord and emanate specific angelic energies. Each of the 72 angelic energies has their own name, quality and function as well as being governed by particular days and times, giving personal relevance to each person that works with them.

Where do the names come from? Well the 72 Angelic names are derived from Exodus 14.19-21, as previously mentioned. These three verses narrate the escape of the Children of Israel from Pharaoh’s armies by Hashemas parting of the Red Sea. As great judgment is executed upon Pharoah and his armies, these names are attributed to Gevurah and are therefore called Gevurot.

In this work you will learn the powers of the Angels, how to mediatate on their Name, perform simple rituals which will bring you closer to that particular Angel, generate talismans that hold their powers. You will also discover the Angel that you have a particular afinity to, the one that rules your Astrological Sign. And finally the Angel that you may call-upon in times of distress. Those times when you may need Celestial assistance.
