The true teacher is most present in his absence.
It is then that all he has taught takes root, grows and blossoms.
The student despairs for his teacher’s guidance, and in that yearning, the student’s mind becomes as the teacher’s mind, so that they become one.

Are emotions high today? Full moon energies, Venus retrograde in Leo….getting clear about what’s important to us in relationships of all kinds, from intimate to Internet, and speaking up about it. This week has potential as a fortunate week for all of the signs. Four planets form a stellium in the Sun’s home sign, Leo, all week long, including Sun, Venus, and Jupiter! (Mercury rounds out the stellium.) Mars trines Saturn in water signs, connecting the two traditionally malefic planets. Mars in Cancer trining Saturn in Scorpio actually forms a trio at the end of the week, with both planets aspecting the mighty Vulcanus (Transneptunian). A great deal of force and control is behind ambition by the end of the week, a superb combination with the Leo stellium for those on earth, who recognize and seize the opportunities from the heavens.

The Rebis figure symbolizes the end of the Great Work (alchemical magnus opus) that we have to do on ourselves. One of Isis’ most powerful epithets is “Great of Magic,” which you may also see translated as Great One of Magic, Great Sorceress, or Great Enchantress. In Egyptian, it is Weret Hekau or Werethekau. (“Wer” is “great” and “et” is the feminine ending. “Hekau” is the plural of “magic,” so you could also translate it as Great of Magics.)
Isis is not the only Goddess Who is called Great of Magic. Many of the Great Goddesses bear that epithet, too: Hathor, Sakhmet, Mut, Wadjet, among others. Gods are also Great of Magic, notably Set in the Pyramid Texts.

There are times when our eyes are closed, our minds can only dream aimlessly and our hearts are as rock. And yet we stand firm, steadfast, us against an entire world.
The mind and the heart have their roots. But that knowledge of who you are and what is the truth for which you stand, its roots reach to a source of living waters that never cease nor change.
The Bottomless Pit …
To climb yet higher, you will always need to first descend.
Often, in the descent, the mountain can be seen from afar. But sometimes, all you see is a bottomless pit.
It’s those descents that take you higher than any eye can perceive.
Meditation leads me into the unknown, and as I trust stepping into the void, I am no longer contracted within my own reality, but expand in the limitlessness of being.
