Qabalah | A Kavanah Meditation, by David Chaim Smith

This is a great practice. It gathers a lot of life force and allows for a smooth and powerful opportunity for the recognition of its essential nature. The practice is derived from post-Lurianic sources obviously (such as Shaarei Kedusha), but is done in a style quite different than how such kavanot are described in the kabbalistic literature. It is almost impossible to do this style of work from the books directly without some practical translation into the context of a working meditation. No one…not even Kaplan…..gives actual instructions for that transition. What I have given in this and in all my books is from years of working with the material. Hopefully the actual practice is clear enough that it can be done in all its detail.

A really good kavanah meditation I did every day for many many years (published in ‘Blazing Dew of Stars”):

Visualize the name AHYH (21) above the crown on the head. Prepare it for its descent as a visualization of the letters YHV (21) expanded for yetzirah (YVD HA VAV=39). Flash the word/value of dew (TaL=39) which equals the expanded letters.

Visualize the second heh (5) of that YHVH in the heart of the brain, within the scull. Visualize it as four alefs in each quadrant, with the the fifth in the center. Transform the descending 39 form of YHV to its simple letters (just YHV). Visualize them descending as dew from keter penetrating the scull. Feel the prismatic crystaline shefa dripping in to suffuse the brain. In the position of the central alef of the five, a blazing shin (300) arises to crystalize its fire at the apex of the spine, in the very center seat of the brain.

Around the shin in the center of the brain are the 13 letters of the 300 expansion of Elohim surrounding the scull. On the right are ALP LMD, on the left are YVD MM, in the center are the heh and yud. Visualize the yud above the horizontal of the heh (this implies the name YaH attributed to chochmah, partner of binah). Below the heh’s horizontal the blazing shin radiates (figure). Here, the shin represents the fire of yud’s primordial dynamism which is brought forth, just as the ruach Elohim (300) does in Genesis 1:2. Thus the 13 letter ALHYM is worn like a crown around the shin. Here the divine fire of concentration is stoked, and its radiance glows to outshine the scull and the surrounding environment, and it meets the infinite depth of space, and they merge seemlessly. This fiery illumination passes through every construct both internal and external, and the blazing seat of space is focused. Its brilliant diaphanous glow equalizes all phenomena, and it directly connects in feeling tone with the birthing pregnancy of creation.

The intensity of the shin blazing in the inner sanctum of the head at the apex of the spine can be almost unbearable. Thus, it must pass down into more grounded embodiment. Breathe the shin fire down directly into the heart. Use the in-breath to gather its fire together, and the out-breath to flow it down. Exchange this over and over to circulate its blazing. Feel its residual glow permeate the body. Do this many times in a cyclical fashion. Visualize it as a loop of mirrorlike brilliance, sparkling brightly beyond capture. Settle the blaze of the dew within the heart, as a visualization of the name YHVH, standing in vertical form. Continue the breathing, but let each in/out breath allow the name in the heart to flicker with its albash reflection MTzPTz, as black fire on white into white fire on black, back and forth. In this manner the fiery charge of the 300 can suffuse the whole of your being and temper its reflexes. Within its radiance, contemplate and bind the following kavanot.

Visualize the three expansions of the name AHYH.

They are 161, 151, 143, arrayed like this:

ALP HY YVD HY

ALP HH YVD HH

ALP HA YVD HA

Concentrate on the combined values of the three expansions, which add to 455. This is the gematria of the word ha-shefa (the shefa, or shefa of the heh). Understand and recognize this connection as if it were the ‘face’ of the name AHYH. Now step out the name AHYH triangularly, in the manner of the tetractys, in four rows.

It proceeds this way:

alef (1)

alef-heh (6)

alef-heh-yud (16)

alef-heh-yud-heh (21)

The total value of the four steps is 44. This is the gematria of the word DaM (blood). This is the blood of space, inherently suffused with shefa and endemic to all appearance and non-appearance. Kabbalistically this is called the ‘back’ of the face of AHYH. Realize that the aspects of ‘front and ‘back’ comprise the totality of the mind, as in “alef is never less than two”, the

meat of the paradox. Combine their values, which are 455+44=499. This sum is the gematria of the word tzabaot.

This is a divine name appendage signifying non-dual essentiality within the appearance of relative collectivity,

translated as ‘the hosts of ’ (as in YHVH Tzabaot or Elohim Tzabaot). It corresponds to hod and netzach, the gates

of the triad NeHiY, through which the alchemical marriage of Zer Anpin and Nukvah is opened or closed. In this

kavanah it seals the names which have been elaborated into a cohesive working unit, through which mind can pass.

Once sealed in this manner, the apparitional display silently breathes through the circuitry that has been

established.

To close, the bright space of the heart is breathed out throughout the body, joining the senses to their sense fields.

As the charged internal sensations are suffused into external appearances, the final union is sealed.

This is beyond instructions. Those who can understand will do it spontaneously. Simply rest within it.

Jupiter, Mr. Big, Thor, Yahweh, turned Retrograde April 10th at 24 degrees 21 minutes of Sagittarius and will roll back to 14 degrees 30 minutes, August 11th.

Jupiter was last at 14+ degrees on January 14/15th so in effect, almost all of 2019 so far has been in Jupiter Retrograde shadow period. It will take until November 6th for Jupiter to bypass its retro point. Hardly any real advance motion in 2019 with Jupiter in it’s own sign. Rather strange that.

Jupiter rules fertility, luck, optimism, faith, higher education, expansion, Justice, military, politics, laws, teachers, gyms, international affairs, airplanes, animals, philosophy, travel, space and honesty.

Jupiter Retrograde rewinds things in all of the matters Jupiter governs. rescinds, redacted, reacts, refuses, rests, renews, re-educates, releases, and re-inspires. All Sagittarius feel this stronger than most signs. Get your luck back and get your groove back,

MAGIC AS A COIN, A HORSE, AND A WHEEL

Camelia Elias's avatarTAROFLEXIONS

I like to talk often
about my weariness with causality and the need to explain everything
and justify everything according to some presupposed linearity that
moves us from A to B.

What is a fact is that
we move, but hardly ever from A to B, and almost never do we move
from A because B happened. The reason why I don’t like causality is
because even if it really existed, it would still mean absolutely
nothing in the face of things changing all the time. Any physicist
worth his salt would concur here. Now the black hole is making the

Astrophysics has its shifting answers. And then there’s the general bottom-line that stays: Things change. The fact that things change changes the way we look at causality, namely, with less anxiety and less excitement.

The Melchizedek High Priest’s Aaronic Breastplate

The Aaronic Breastplate: A Biblical Magical Phylactery

The The Jewish High Priest’s or Aaronic Breastplate was a potent Biblical phylactery that was at once a sign of authority and piece of spiritual protective technology.

Aaron was the first high priest of the Temple at Jerusalem to have worn this breastplate, several centuries before Christ. It was later worn by the High Priest, when he was presented in the Holy Place, in the name of the Children of Israel. The breastplate features 12 gemstones each attributed to one of the 12 Tribes of Israel. As a result, this section of the Biblical text gives us a Biblical grounding for an occult correspondence list linking 12 stones to the 12 Tribes, and as such, a basis for talismanic magic.

The stones of the breastplate appear as one of three lists of gems, in the Bible. In Ezekiel 28:13, in Revelations 21:19–20, and in Exodus 28:17–20 are lists of the 12 foundation stones.

The authorized list is (1) red jasper (sardius), (2) citrine quartz (topaz), (3) emerald, (4) ruby (carbuncle), (5) lapis lazuli (sapphire), (6) rock crystal (diamond), (7) golden sapphire (ligure), (8) blue sapphire (agate), (9) amethyst, (10) yellow jasper (chrysolite), (11) golden beryl (onyx), (12) chrysoprase (jasper). The Hebrew names of these 12 stones are (1) Odem, (2) Pitdah, (3) Bareketh, (4) Nophek, (5) Sappir, (6) Yahalom, (7) Leshem, (8) Shebo, (9) Ahlamah, (10) Tarshish, (11) Shalom, (12) Yashpheh.

“According to the description in Exodus, this breastplate was attached to the tunic-like garment known as an ephod by gold chains/cords tied to the gold rings on the ephod’s shoulder straps, and by blue ribbon tied to the gold rings at the belt of the ephod. The biblical description states that the breastplate was also to be made from the same material as the Ephod—embroidery of 3 colors of dyed wool and linen—and was to be ⅓ of a cubit squared, two layers thick, and with four rows of three engraved gems embedded in gold settings upon it, one setting for each stone. The description states that the square breastplate was to be formed from one rectangular piece of cloth—⅓ of a cubit by ⅔ of a cubit, folded so that it formed a pouch to contain the Urim and Thummim.

The Hebrew term for the breastplate, חֹשֶׁן(ḥōšen), appears to be named from its appearance, probably derived from the same source as Arabic حسن (ḥasuna), meaning “to be beautiful”. The 19th-century German biblical scholar August Dillmannthought that it was more likely to be derived from the Hebrew word חֹצֶן (ḥōṣen), meaning “fold”, relating to its function.”

According to the Talmud, the wearing of the Hoshen atoned for the sin of errors in judgement on the part of the Children of Israel.” As such, it was a symbolic foreshadower of the atoning role of Christ. Framed otherwise, Christ embodied a universalized version of the Aaronic Breastplate applied to all human beings.

As a side note, the Breastplate served as a pouch for two objects which provide a Biblical basis for using divination methods to seek answers from God in the way we do in contemporary Judaeo-Christian magic. “1 Samuel 14:41 is regarded by biblical scholars as key to understanding the Urim and Thummim; the passage describes an attempt to identify a sinner via divination, by repeatedly splitting the people into two groups and identifying which group contains the sinner.”

“In the version of this passage in the Masoretic Text, it describes Saul and Jonathan being separated from the rest of the people, and lots being cast between them; the Septuagint version, however, states that Urimwould indicate Saul and Jonathan, while Thummim would indicate the people. In the Septuagint, a previous verse uses a phrase which is usually translated as “inquired of God”, which is significant as the grammatical form of the Hebrew implies that the inquiry was performed by objects being manipulated; scholars view it as evident from these verses and versions that cleromancy was involved, and that Urim and Thummim were the names of the objects being cast.”

For those who are interested in the latter subject, the source for the above is Hirsch, Emil G.; Muss-Arnolt, William; Bacher, Wilhelm; Blau, Ludwig (1906). “Urim and Thummim”. In Singer, Isidore; et al. The Jewish Encyclopedia. 12. New York: Funk & Wagnalls. p. 384–385.

Has anyone attempted to construct a version of the Aaronic breastplate for use in Solomonic work? The Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses include a very different version of it, but it seems to me that a replica of the Biblical breastplate would fit in nicely with the Solomonic tradition as I see it in terms of grounding ritual technology in Biblical precedent in the same way that we use hyssop, the Solomonic Trumpet/Bell, and so on.

every 90 days the sun squares an eclipse lunar or solar point. This creates tension. It’s like a flea bite. We gotta do something about that itch.

Those with planets or angles at 13-17 degrees of all Cardinal signs Aries Cancer Libra and Capricorn will feel this tension the most.

Squares are like cosmic acupressure points. They are potent spots which may hurt but can also relieve the tension.

Over the weekend look at what was going on for you in Jan 5/6th it already seems like a long time ago.

Sacred vessels of the Goddess Isis

"To London, at the Temple of Isis" “To London, at the temple of Isis”

It is finally spring. And here in the Pacific Northwest, we are having a classic one. Last weekend sunny and 70, this one wet and 50. For some reason (probably as I have been planting), this reminds me of vessels. So I hope you will enjoy this little excursion into some of the sacred and sacred-ish vessels associated with the Isis…

There is a very famous jug found in what is now Tooley Street in the Southwark borough of London. It doesn’t look like much; it’s about a foot high, just terracotta, with a graffito scratched on its surface. The jug is dated to the latter part of the 1st century CE.

It’s important because of what that graffito says. It says,”LONDINI AD FANVM ISIDIS,” that is, “To London at the temple of Isis”. Thus it confirms the existence of a temple of Isis…

Myths and Legends of Babylon | Semiramis the Great

It was probably in the reign of this monarch that the queen known in legend as Semiramis lived. It would have been wonderful indeed had the magic of her name not been connected with romance by the Oriental imagination. Semiramis ! The name sparkles and scintillates with gems of legend and song. Myth, magic, and music encircle it and sweep round it as fairy seas surround some island paradise. It is a central rose in the chaplet of legend, it has been enshrined in music perhaps the most divine and melodious which the songful soul of Italy has ever conceived—yet not more beauteous than itself. Let us introduce into the iron chain of Assyrian history the golden link of the legend of this Helen of the East, and having heard the fictions of her greatness let us attempt to remove the veils which hide her real personality from view and look upon her as she was—Sammuramat the Babylonian, queen and favourite of Samsi-Rammon, who crushed the assembled armies of Media and Chaldea, and whose glories are engraved upon a column which, setting forth the tale of her conquests, describes her in all [Page 25] simplicity as “A woman of the palace of Samsi-Rammon, King of the World.”

Legend says that Ninus, King of Assyria, having conquered the Babylonians, proceeded toward Armenia with the object of reducing the people of that country. But its politic king, Barsanes, unable to meet him by armed force, made a voluntary submission, accompanied by presents of such magnificence that Ninus was placated. But, insatiable in his desire for conquest, he turned his eyes to Media, which he speedily subdued. His next ambition was to bring under his rule the territory between the Tanais and the Nile. This great task occupied him for no less than seventeen years, by which time all Asia had submitted to him, with the single exception of Bactria, which still maintained its independence. Having laid the foundations of the city of Nineveh, he resolved to proceed against the Bactrians. His army was of dimensions truly mythical, for he was said to be accompanied by 7,000,000 of infantrymen, 2,000,000 of horse-soldiers, with the addition of 200,000 chariots equipped with scythes.

It was during this campaign, says Diodorus Siculus, that Ninus first beheld Semiramis. Her precise legendary or mythical origin is obscure. Some writers aver that she was the daughter of the fish-goddess Ataryatis, or Derketo, and Oannes, the Babylonian god of wisdom, who has already been alluded to. Ataryatis was a goddess of Ascalon in Syria, and after birth her daughter Semiramis was miraculously fed by doves until she was found by one Simmas, the royal shepherd, who brought her up and married her to Onnes, or Menon, one of Ninus’s generals. He fell by his own hand, and Ninus thereupon took Semiramis to wife, having [Page 26] profoundly admired her ever since her conduct at the capture of Bactria, where she had greatly distinguished herself. Not long afterward Ninus died, leaving a son called Ninyas. During her son’s minority Semiramis assumed the regency, and the first great work she undertook was the interment of her husband, whom she buried with great splendour, and raised over him a mound of earth no less than a mile and a quarter high and proportionally wide, after which she built Babylon. This city being finished, she made an expedition into Media ; and wherever she went left memorials of her power and munificence. She erected vast structures, forming lakes and laying out gardens of great extent, particularly in Chaonia and Ecbatana. In short, she levelled hills, and raised mounds of an immense height, which retained her name for ages. After this she invaded Egypt and conquered Ethiopia, with the greater part of Libya ; and having accomplished her wish, and there being no enemy to cope with her, excepting the kingdom of India, she resolved to direct her forces toward that quarter. She had an army of 3,000,000 foot, 500,000 horse, and 100,000 chariots. For the passing of rivers and engaging the enemy by water she had procured 2000 ships, to be so constructed as to be taken to pieces for the advantage of carriage : which ships were built in Bactria by men from Phoenicia, Syria, and Cyprus. With these she fought a naval engagement with Strabrobates, King of India, and at the first encounter sunk a thousand of his ships. After this she built a bridge over the river Indus, and penetrated into the heart of the country. Here Strabrobates engaged her. Being deceived by the numerous appearance of her elephants, he at first [Page 27] gave way, for being deficient in those animals she had procured the hides of 3000 black oxen, which, being properly sewn and stuffed with straw, presented the appearance of so many elephants. All this was done so naturally that even the real elephants of the Indian king were deceived. But the stratagem was at last discovered, and Semiramis was obliged to retreat, after having lost a great part of her army. Soon after this she resigned the government to her son Ninyas, and died. According to some writers, she was slain by his hand.

It was through the researches of Professor Lehmann-Haupt of Berlin that the true personal significance of Semiramis was recovered. Until the year 1910 the legends of Diodorus and others were held to have been completely disproved and Semiramis was regarded as a purely mythical figure. Old Bryant in his Antient Mythology , published at the beginning of last century, proves the legendary status of Semiramis to his own satisfaction.

He says :

“It must be confessed that the generality of historians have represented Semiramis as a woman, and they describe her as a great princess who reigned in Babylon ; but there are writers who from their situation had opportunities of better intelligence, and by those she is mentioned as a deity. The Syrians, says Athenagoras, worshipped Semiramis, and adds that she was esteemed the daughter of Dercatus and the same as the Suria Dea. . . .

Semiramis was said to have been born at Ascalon because Atargatus was there worshipped under the name of Dagon, and the same memorials were preserved there as at Hierapolis and Babylon. These memorials related to a history of which the dove was the principal type. It was upon the same account that she was [Page 28] said to have been changed to a dove because they found her always depicted and worshipped under that form. . . .

From the above I think it is plain that Semiramis was an emblem and that the name was a compound of Sama-ramas, or ramis, and it signified ‘the divine token,’ a type of providence, and as a military ensign, (for as such it was used) it may with some latitude be interpreted ‘the standard of the most High.’ It consisted of the figure of a dove, which was probably encircled with the iris, as those two emblems were often represented together. All who went under that standard, or who paid any deference to that emblem, were styled Semarim or Samorim. It was a title conferred upon all who had this device for their national insigne.”

There is much more of this sort of thing, typical of the mythic science of the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. It is easy to see how myth became busy with the name of the Assyrian Queen, whose exploits undoubtedly aroused the enthusiasm not only of the Assyrians themselves but of the peoples surrounding them. Just as any great work in ancient Britain was ascribed to the agency of Merlin or Arthur, so such monuments as could not otherwise be accounted for were attributed to Semiramis. Western Asia is monumentally eloquent of her name, and even the Behistun inscriptions of Darius have been placed to her credit. Herodotus states that one of the gates of Babylon was called after her, and that she raised the artificial banks that confined the river Euphrates. Her fame lasted until well into the Middle Ages’, and the Armenians called the district round Lake Van, Shamiramagerd.

There is very little doubt that her fame became mingled with that of the goddess Ishtar : she possesses the same Venus-like attributes, the dove is her emblem, and her story became so inextricably intertwined with that of the Babylonian goddess that she ultimately became a variant of her. The story of Semiramis is a triumphant vindication of the manner in which by certain mythical processes a human being can attain the rank of a god or goddess, for Semiramis was originally very real indeed. A column discovered in 1909 describes her as “a woman of the palace of Samsi-rammon, King of the World, King of Assyria, King of the Four Quarters of the World.”

This dedication indicates that Semiramis, or, to give her her Assyrian title, Sammuramat, evidently possessed an immense influence over her husband, Samsi-rammon, and that perhaps as queen-mother that influence lasted for more than one reign, so that the legend that after a regency of forty-two years she delivered up the kingdom to her son, Ninyas, may have some foundation in fact. She seems to have made war against the Medes and Chaldeans. The story that on relinquishing her power she turned into a dove and disappeared may mean that her name, Sammuramat, was easily connected with the Assyrian summat , the word for ‘dove ’; and for a person of her subsequent legendary fame the mythical connection with Ishtar is easily accounted for.

Happy birthday, Manly P. Hall!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE MASTER OF ALL MYSTERIES, MANLY P. HALL!

“We are here to learn and grow and share…”

In my opinion, Manly P. Hall far surpassed Plato, Socrates, and Aristotle. In his lifetime, he wrote over 150 books, authored countless articles, and gave over 8000 lectures. He was also made an honorary 33rd degree Scotish Rite Freemason. He is one of my greatest teachers and inspirations. Not a day goes by when I don’t read one of his books, newsletters or listen to one of his profound lectures. Here is his bio from PRS.org:

Manly Palmer Hall (March 18, 1901 – August 29, 1990) was a Canadian-born scholar and philosopher. He is perhaps most famous for his 1928 book The Secret Teachings of All Ages.

Manly P. Hall, the Philosophical Research Society’s first president, was a seeker and lover of wisdom, the very definition of a philosopher. He had the courage and the raw intellectual energy to look for wisdom in places most men had long since forgotten about, or never knew existed. He lived in an era when most Americans did not look at other cultures and traditions, without looking down.

Manly P. Hall began his public career in the related fields of philosophy and comparative religion at the age of nineteen, was ordained to the ministry in his twenty-second year, and devoted his life to teaching, writing, and lecturing without interruption for over half a decade. Uniquely endowed for the task to which he dedicated his life, he attained an amazing degree of scholarship in those branches of learning which bear upon the beliefs, ideals, and convictions of mankind.

Mr. Hall appeared on numerous radio and television stations throughout the United States. All his lectures, many lasting two hours, were given extemporaneously and without notes. His versatility was incredible.

WHY BLUE?

In the Bhagavad-gita , evidence supports a very ancient race of a blue skinned people through the stories of Lord Krishna. Instead of being an Ang (el) Krishna was described like that of an ’Avatar’, god or demi-god.

According the the Bhagavad-gita he was a teacher teaching the workings of creation & the understanding of a self-realized soul.

But for us it is enough to realize that he was always depicted with ’blue skin’.

Shiva is also a ’dark blue’

THE PICTS…were an early race of Scotsmen who fought naked and painted themselves blue with woad. They were known as the blue people.

THE AINU…. are an ancient indigenous people living in Japan whose skin hue is often described as once being blue.

IN IRISH-SCOTTISH Gaeilge (or Gaelic)…., people of African descent were historically referred to as the fir gorum, or blue men. People of this race were described as “blue” rather than as “black.”

THE ANISHNABE NATION PROPHECY OF THE BLUE PEOPLE….

“According to the prophecy, there are four groups of people: the red, the yellow, the black & the white Courchene says that from today’s youth a new group of people will be born – the blue people of old will emerge…They will be tolerant of each other, and will bring spiritual harmony and sacredness back to the earth. This will prepare the way for a rebirth of Mother Earth.”

The POLAREAN “Master root race” at the CENTER of our Earth plane.

Some of you you will now be familiar with the geocentric electromagnetic ‘Cosmic Egg’ model, consisting of four concentric realms or domains of land across the vast plane of the earth – With a fifth central pillar at the very center AKA Mt Meru, Mt Zion, Mt Olympus, etc….

Now…. just as there are four realms across the vast plane of the Earth, there are also four physical ‘humanoid’ root races associated with the creation of each realm…

These four root races are…

The Hyperboreans – The Lemurians – The Atlanteans – The Aryans.

But there is a fifth race of beings that lives at the center (Mt Meru) of our flat Earth…

The master root race – THE POLAREANS.

Unlike the other four, the Polarean are semi-ethereal, meaning not completely physical beings, they do not have a definitive skin pigment, size, color or race.

Although they are often depicted as being somewhat indigo blueish translucent beings.

Anyway, these polareans began the human race at pole position like i said.

They were the very first forms of earthly beings to manifest on earth.

All the other four root races were ‘seeded’ by the Polareans – hence the term ‘Master Race’.

We could also call the Polareans,

‘The Guardians of the Earth’

The Polareans are also sometimes referred to as ‘angels’ in the Abrahamic religious texts or ‘Das Avatars’ in Vedic scripts or ‘Pleiadians’ in new age esoteric circles.

There is no such thing as coincidence…

The eyes will see when the pupil is ready.🙂

Hope you had a strong week-end & that your coming week will be even stronger.💫💜
